Primary Series 90 with Rebecca

A special 90-minute Ashtanga-inspired class, guided by Rebecca. Rooted in the traditional Primary Series and shaped with a MÖV approach, this practice takes you from the Opening Chant to the Closing Om. You’ll move through many of the series’ postures in their traditional order, with vinyasas linking the postures and the left and right sides.

With extra time on the mat, we’ll slow down to honor what makes this practice so powerful: steady ujjayi breath, a focused gaze (drishti), and the energy locks (bandhas) that create lightness and strength from within. Expect a strong, sweaty practice that leaves you with a real sense of accomplishment. Modifications will be offered throughout, but some familiarity with our Primary Series or vinyasa classes will be helpful.

About Rebecca

Rebecca began her yoga journey studying the Ashtanga sequence with Monique Maxwell for six years. She went on to train with David Swenson and with Manju Jois, son of Ashtanga founder Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. She remains passionate about sharing the benefits of this traditional practice and warmly welcomes you to the mat.
