Emma D.
(she/her)
MÖV Flow
Emma’s classes are thoughtful, grounding, and rooted in self-trust. With an emphasis on alignment and mindful movement, she creates space for students to build heat, explore their own capacity, and feel supported in their practice. Drawing from her background in classical ballet and her own journey with yoga, Emma hopes to help students feel present, connected, and at home in themselves. After two years as a member of the MÖV community, she’s excited to step into her role as a teacher and graduate of MÖV’s first 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training.
How did you find your way to yoga?
I have practiced yoga consistently for 4 years, though my movement background began with 15 years of experience in the classical ballet world. Transitioning away from dance in college led me to a search for meaningful ways to move outside of ballet. I joined a club that explored different fitness classes and that’s where my love for yoga began. After graduation, I leaned fully into my practice. It has since become a grounding force in my life to process seasons of change, the world around me, and my identity.
What should we know about your background?
Emma is from Elko New Market, MN and has lived in the cities her whole life.
What Else Should we know about you?
Emma loves spending time outdoors with her fiancé, whether hiking, camping, or biking. One of her favorite places she’s traveled is Glacier National Park, and she loves spending quality time with the people closest to her.
